Chevron wood floors, patterned tile, copious houseplants, statement light fixtures, a decorative surfboard, and black hardware? Check and mate. This super-trendy, uber-cool, Insta-friendly hideaway is on Australia’s new coastal hotspot, the Coal Coast. Don’t be put off by the name. These days, you’re a lot more likely to find surfers at this New South Wales spot than miners, and the area is only about an hour south of Sydney, so it’s commutable.

Set on 0.63 of an acre, the residence includes several buildings: a main house, a yoga shala (studio), a shed/workshop, and the “Black Chapel,” which sounds like it should belong to Marilyn Manson. All of this would make any homeowner feel like they’re in a private boutique luxury resort. One tip: if Marilyn Manson tries to book the Black Chapel via Airbnb, turn him down.
