Best New Oregon Beer Bars & Taprooms 2021
You may have heard that the “beer bar” is dying. In recent weeks articles in both the New York Times and Wine Enthusiast have pointed to a host of issues facing the small independent non-brewery affiliated taprooms. Those issues range from the pandemic and grocery chain stores to the expansion of brewery satellite locations. Lucky for us Oregonians we are still awash in world-class beer bars, but it’s more important now than ever to support them and the craft beer culture that flourishes because of them.
Each year we do our best to highlight some of the brand new beer bars, taprooms, and just outstanding restaurants, food trucks and pubs that are showcasing beer around the state. This industry and community would not exist without these businesses and breweries, cideries, etc. need them to survive and provide another outlet for their fun, crazy and innovative creations. While the following guide is not entirely complete, we have spent considerable time attempting to highlight the new beer bars that have opened in the pandemic era of 2020-2021.
