BrewDog announces opening date for new Edinburgh beer hotel with in-room beer taps and shower fridges
Beer fans in the capital could be in for a treat after Scottish brewing giants BrewDog announced the opening date for their new hotel which offers rooms featuring in-room beer taps and shower beer fridges.
The brewing company confirmed that Doghouse Edinburgh will open at the start of next month with 20 rooms for guests available.
The team also stated the glamorous new lodgings, which are opening close to Waverley Station, will be 'carbon negative' with suites kitted out and cleaned using planet-friendly consumables.
The second of their Doghouse chain venues to open in the UK, after the Manchester site opened earlier this year, the new location can be found on New Street in the heart of the Old Town with guests offered a complimentary beer on arrival when they check into their room.
The official opening date for the exciting new venue is Friday, December 3, with BrewDog still on the hunt for a number of people to fill roles across the hotel including housekeeping, receptionists and night porters.
A post on the official BrewDog Facebook page read: "Located in the heart of the city, our latest Carbon Negative hotel boasts 20 rooms with all the BrewDog features your craft-beer loving heart could desire.
"Shower beers? Sure, because why not?!
"Dog-friendly? Always.
"In-room beer tap? Pint glasses at the ready.
"As well as 2 bars serving more than 30 lines of amazing craft beer, a terrace bar and 24-hour hot dogs!"
Each room will have fully stocked shower beer fridges and even in-room draft taps where guests can pour their own beers.
Those staying at the new hotels can also get access to games consoles, record players, guitars, and free Brompton bike hire to go exploring.
Fully dog-friendly, the DogHouse even supplies dog beds for any four-legged friends who may be visiting with their owners.
The brewing firm also confirmed that guests who reuse their towels will also be given free beer and each person will receive a refillable water bottle on arrival to help with their carbon offsetting plans.
As part of the launch, the first 100 people through the door on opening day at 12:00 pm will be entered into a raffle, with a chance of winning a year of free beer as well a stay at DogHouse Edinburgh that very night with four rooms up for grabs.
With bookings for DogHouse Edinburgh now live, room prices start from £145 and can be booked here.
The hotel will also have two different bars featuring 30 taps of craft beer alongside a menu of wine and spirits meaning you don't have to stay over to enjoy the new hotel.
The news comes as the brand confirmed they are offering beer fans a free pint of their 'carbon-negative' lager.
Anyone signing up to their online Planet BrewDog loyalty scheme, which offers badge-based rewards and aims to help plant a tree for every multipack of beer sold, will unlock a free pint of Lost Lager.
