New Mercedes campervan launched by McLaren Sports Homes
McLaren Sports Homes has launched a new Shadow campervan available on the latest Mercedes Sprinter.
The new two-berth Shadow still offers McLaren’s rear lounge layout with a difference. The rear doors open into a storage area that extends under the lounge, with a solid wall protecting the seating area from the outdoors.
Stepping inside the campervan, there is a choice of furniture finishes, while fabric upholstery is standard. However, a popular option is the Premium Upholstery package with leather seating and curved backrests. You can also specify diamond stitched headline and bulkheads.
For living, this model has masses of storage, while the kitchen includes a 150-litre fridge freezer, induction and gas hob, oven and grill plus a super deep sink. The washroom has a bench cassette toilet with electric flush, and a drop-down basin.
Fitted with a 110Ah leisure battery, you can upgrade this to a 250Ah Banner leisure battery, linked to a 100W ZAMP solar panel and charger. The 100-litre fresh water and 80-litre waste tanks are both insulated, while gas supply is provided by a refillable 20-litre LPG tank.
Standard kit also includes a four-metre awning, awning lights, Truma Combi 4E heating/hot water and aluminium chequerplate lining for the garage walls and rear doors.
Prices start from around £69,000 on-the-road for the new McLaren Sprinter Shadow. However, the model shown in these photos would cost you around £85,000 with the latest Mercedes options including 7G Tronic, 360 camera package, LED performance headlights, electric side door, 10in multimedia and navigation with voice control, electric handbrake, heated swivel comfort seats and black paint, while habitation options fitted range from diamond stitched headlining and beefed up electrics.
