The $69,990 asking price gets the standard fit-out, plus Simplicity off-road suspension, 15-inch 235 wheels with all- terrain tyres, DO-35 coupling, solar and battery pack, a 100mm chassis and draw bar, draw-bar extension and washing machine.

There’s a mini grill that can be taken outside for barbecues and an outside table which you can use for reading or even eating. And no more cold meals with a microwave in tow.
There are also two towel rails, a fibreglass bathroom and rolled post-form benchtops. The caravan also has an air- conditioner that is easy to operate.
The Whitsunday’s windows are double-glazed to keep the cold out. The rounded entry door is also easy to operate.
The Whitsunday has an external TV with a 12-volt plug and a 25-amp battery charger. There is also a 12-volt circuit breaker to protect devices.
A 120-amp battery and 120- watt solar panel are the main sources of power.
There is also a built-in DVD player with an LCD monitor to watch movies and play music. Plug in the two outside speakers and two roof speakers to amplify the sound.
Aside from the two big water tanks, the Whitsunday has a hot water system and a water filter. There is also a top loader 3kg washing machine and a ceramic cassette toilet available.
Overall the van offers a lot of features at a good price.
Picking the right caravan comes down your research into the van that best suits your lifestyle and activities. It’s also a big financial decision.
But both decisions will be made easier at Luxury RVs’ open days from August 17-19 at 583 Pinjarra Road, Mandurah.
Luxury RVs will be open from 8am-5pm on Friday, 8am-4pm on Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sunday.
Dealer principal Luke Bell said there would be a sausage sizzle, coffee truck, demonstrations and displays from leading industry players, plus big savings on caravans, spare parts and accessories.
“This is a chance for potential buyers to meet the people behind the Retreat, Galaxy and Lotus caravans and have their questions answered so they can pick the right van,” Mr Bell said.
“There will also be experts from Australian Wide Annexes, Vantec RV, Camec, Coast RV and caravan clubs and associations.”
Luxury RVs has more than 40 years experience in the caravan industry with an on-site workshop for all caravan servicing and repairs.
