A member of the travelling community has hit back at trolls who assume travellers sit around all day 'doing nothing' - by sharing a video of her vigorous home cleaning routine.

Adele Hartley, 20, who has lived in the same house in England for the last three years but previously moved around, took to TikTok to show followers what people in the travelling community do every day to maintain their homes.

The video begins with an image of a woman sitting on a sofa watching TV with a bowl of popcorn before Adele's forensic approach to cleaning kicks in.

The super cleaner wrote: 'What people think gypsy girls do everyday,' before showing the extent of her own cleaning routine - which sees her scrubbing windows with a toothbrush.

Adele Hartley, 20, a member of the travelling community, took to TikTok to show followers how travellers take care of their homes - debunking, she says, the myth that it's not just sitting watching TV

In the clip, she begins her daily chores, which begins with changing the duvet on her bed and organising an array of cushions

Adele explains that her dad mostly works in just one area, which is why the family have been living in a house for the past three years as opposed to a caravan.

She shows herself filling a jug with boiling water, leaving a cloth and toothbrush in it, before adding washing liquid and Zoflora disinfectant.

Adele then takes her damp cloth and uses it to clean the wardrobe, side table, skirting boards and light switches in her room.

She's not finished there; after this, she uses a surface spray to wipe down her wooden doors, radiators and blinds.

Critics: Adele has been trolled by people who. she says, think travellers sit about all day

Making sure every area of the home is spotless, she even blasts her window sills with a steam cleaner.

Finally, taking a cotton bud and cloth, Adele gets into all the nooks and crannies and wipes down the inside of the frame.

Adele also buffed Cif's cream cleaner into her window sills with a toothbrush, wiped down the bannister and finished off by giving the glass a thorough scrub.

Although fans questioned why Adele would need such an extensive list of chores, she insists her sibling makes it hard to keep the house spotless.

But her cleaning regime was a hit with fans who took it as inspiration, and many said they could 'smell' how clean her home was through their phones

One person said: 'If you clean everyday, I bet there's nothing else to clean the next day. I bet your house is so nice.'

Adele replied: 'I wish it was this way but I have a brother. He makes everything go back to page one!'

'This is such a good cleaning routine,' one replied. 'I need to up my game!'

Another added: 'Your house must smell so nice and the cleanliness of it makes me so happy.'

Meanwhile, a third gushed: 'Uhh when can I move in?'
